Incotro?
Claudiu | 28 Martie 2006 | 83240.03 | Tags: Cărti, SciTech | 1 ComentariuStanislaw Lem ne-a parasit.
Go Slack Go
Claudiu | 27 Martie 2006 | 83236.59 | Tags: i386, Linux/BSD | ComenteazăUn hard de WD 250G merita un sistem de operare pe masura. Adica Slackware. Am instalat repede si Xp-ul, just in case, si mai mult ca sa imi scrie MBR-ul si sa mi-l lase in pace, nici macar nu mi-am configurat reteaua sub Xp.
Works fine for me.
SuSE 10.0
In fine.
Give me a brake.

“NASA’s Cassini spacecraft may have found evidence of liquid water reservoirs that erupt in Yellowstone-like geysers on Saturn’s moon Enceladus. The rare occurrence of liquid water so near the surface raises many new questions about the mysterious moon.”

Wow, daca e adevarat…

roelbj writes “For those Star Trek fans wondering what to ask for this Christmas, you may wish to consider The Ultimate Star Trek Collection to be released on November 15. For just (cough) $2499.99, you’ll get 212, count them, 212 DVDs with everything ever produced under the name, including all seasons of all five telvision series as well as the ten feature films. Before loading up your disc changer and hitting play, remember to get up once in a while.”

For an extra $500, could I get the same collection without any of the Voyager episodes?
Well, let’s see…
-The Original Series
-The Animated Series
-The Next Generation
-Deep Space Nine
No, actually, that’s only four. There were only four Star Trek TV series ever made. I don’t see where you people are getting five, let alone six.
LALALALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!!!!
I swear, I hear angels singing right now. And is it possible for divine light to shine on a webpage?
Title: Does it include cool Yoda and Han Solo posters?
Oh wait… Star Trek

Does anyone have a torrent?
To be honest, the TNG box set that came in the Borg cube a couple of years back looked a hell of a lot nicer. If I go and spend $2400 on a box set, I’d better be getting a nice looking box as part of the deal!

Whoops. Now’s the part where you run for your life.
The sad thing, though, is:
TOS: 47 min
TNG, DS9, Voy: 45 min
Enterprise: 42 min
… those ad breaks just get longer and longer, huh?

Thank-you, Data.
Who set the price? Was it Quark? What do they think we’re made of? Latinum?
“I’m not a Starfleet commander, or T.J. Hooker. I don’t live on Starship NCC-170… (some audience members say “1″), or own a phaser. I don’t know anybody named Bones, Sulu, or Spock (picture of Dr. Benjamin Spock is shown on screen behind him). And no, I’ve never had green alien sex, but I’m sure it’d be quite an evening. (Pomp and Circumstance begins playing.) I speak English and French, not Klingon! I drink Labatt’s, not Romulan ale! And when someone says to me ‘live long and prosper’, I seriously mean it when I say, ‘get a life’. My doctor’s name is not McCoy, it’s Ginsberg (nude picture of Dr. Ginsberg shown on screen). And tribbles were puppets, not real animals. PUPPETS! And when I speak, I never, ever talk like Every. Word. Is. Its. Own. Sentence. I live in California, but I was raised in Montreal. And I believe in priceline.com, where you never have to pay full price for airline tickets, hotels, and car rentals! I’ve appeared onstage at Stratford, at Carnegie Hall, Albert Hall, and the Monkland Theatre in NDG. And, yes, I’ve gone where no man has gone before, but… I was in Mexico and her father gave me permission! My name is William Shatner, and I am Canadian!”

Not counting the movies:
703 episodes / $2500 = 0.28 episodes per dollar
$2500 / 703 episodes = $3.56 per episode
Title: Where’s the Bittorrent?
I mean, c’mon, I’m waiting here.

Well. I can ask.
